The ITEx website, https://itex.consulting, may place small data files called cookies on your device. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies our website uses, why we use them and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Statement.
The website is operated by ITEX – INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY EXPERTS LTD (“ITEx”, “we”), Reg. No. HE 470509, 45 Evangelistrias Str., Strovolos 2057, Nicosia, Cyprus. For any questions about this policy, please contact us at info@itex.consulting.
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to remember your actions or preferences, such as your cookie choices, for a period of time, so you do not have to set them again whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another. Cookies can also help produce statistics about how a website is used.
Cookies can be described in the following ways:
- First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting. Only that website can read them.
- Third-party cookies are set by an organisation other than the owner of the website you are visiting.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser or after a short period of inactivity.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period, or until you delete them.
Most cookies on our website are only placed with your consent. When you first visit the website, a cookie banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
2. How do we use cookies?
Our website uses a small number of cookies, in two categories:
- Necessary cookies, which the website needs to work properly and to remember your cookie choices. These do not require your consent.
- Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the website so that we can improve it. These are only set if you give your consent.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to identify you personally or to build a profile of you.
2.1 Necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to work and to record your consent choices. They are always active.
| Name | Service | Purpose | Cookie type and duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookieyes-consent | CookieYes (consent management) | Stores your cookie consent choices, so that we respect them and do not ask you again on every page or visit | First-party, persistent cookie, 1 year |
2.2 Analytics cookies
Our website is hosted by GoDaddy. With your consent, GoDaddy’s website statistics service sets the cookies below to measure how many people visit the website, which pages they view and how long visits last. We use this information only in aggregated form to improve the website. We do not combine it with other information to identify individual visitors.
| Name | Service | Purpose | Cookie type and duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _tccl_visitor | GoDaddy website statistics | Recognises returning visitors, so that visitor numbers can be counted | First-party, persistent cookie, 1 year |
| _tccl_visit | GoDaddy website statistics | Groups the pages viewed during a single visit | First-party, session cookie, 30 minutes |
| _scc_session | GoDaddy website statistics | Measures the length and activity of a single visit | First-party, session cookie, 30 minutes |
These cookies are blocked until you click Accept All, or allow Analytics under Customise. If you reject them, the website works in exactly the same way.
3. Third-party content
Our website uses Google Fonts to display text. To load the fonts, your browser connects to servers operated by Google, which receive your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies on our website. Further information is available in Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Our website also contains links to other websites, such as our LinkedIn page. Those websites are not covered by this Cookie Policy and may set their own cookies when you visit them. Please check their cookie and privacy policies.
4. How can you manage cookies?
4.1 Changing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom left of any page of our website. This reopens your cookie settings, where you can accept or reject analytics cookies. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
4.2 Removing cookies from your device
You can delete all cookies that are already on your device by clearing the browsing history of your browser. This removes cookies from all websites you have visited. Be aware that you may also lose some saved information, such as saved login details or site preferences.
4.3 Managing site-specific cookies
For more detailed control over site-specific cookies, check the privacy and cookie settings in your preferred browser.
4.4 Blocking cookies
You can set most modern browsers to prevent any cookies being placed on your device. You may then have to adjust some preferences manually every time you visit a site, and some services and functions may not work.
5. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add or remove cookies on our website. The date at the top of this policy shows when it was last updated.
6. Contact
If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy or how we use cookies, please contact us at info@itex.consulting. Further information about your rights, and about your right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus, is set out in our Privacy Statement.
